The Mission:  To bring together diverse groups to find points of agreement within complex issues and facilitate partnerships for the cooperative execution of projects which sustain and improve the rural way of life

Current Projects:
Rural community revitalization using education as the driver and technology as a tool to link schools, students, and residents with needed resources

Big Cypress Bayou Fish & Wildlife Restoration
Waterfront and wetland habitat restoration along Big Cypress Bayou providing environmental park and a new venue for heritage and nature tourism

Caddo Lake Heritage Awareness and Education Project
Texas and Louisiana sponsored project to identify, develop, and interpret natural and cultural resources on and near Caddo Lake for heritage and nature tourism enhancement

Rural Health Collaborative
Public/private sector partnership to establish model for the innovative management of primary care and one-stop-shop health and human services in underserved locales

Honors College Internship Program
Public/private sector partnership to bring Texas Tech University Honors College students to Jefferson for collaborative problem-solving

Green Community Design Institute
Public/private sector partnership to develop and model innovations in green design lead by the Texas Tech University School of Architecture and Page-Southerland-Page.
